General Van Dorn Knife - This spear point knife is forged from half a horseshoeing rasp. It has a 7-inch blade with a final hand-sanded and buffed finish. The taper forged handle measures 4¾ inches and is fitted with regular walnut, hand-sanded, and buffed to a fine finish. The wood handle is pinned with brass, and fancy mosaic pins. The handle fits a man’s large hand. The blade top has fancy file work near the guard forged from ¼ x 1-inch mild steel. Blade side of guard has decorative file and iron chasing work.
