Iron stall gate comes ready for installation.  It measures 38" wide x 48" tall.  The perimeter frame is constructed from 3/16" x 2" flat mild steel.  Decorative hand forged and filed corners are riveted to the perimeter steel frame.  Each corner is completely forged from a single straight piece of 1/4" by 1" mild steel with the exception of the hinge pieces discretely welded to frame and to the forged decorative corners. Vertical and horizontal bars utilize 1/2" x 1/2" square mild steel forged on ends and riveted to frame with 1/4" hot rolled steel rod.  Bars are forged and scroll cut into decorative overlapping joints riveted together at junctions with 3/16" hot rolled steel rod. Flowers covering the junction are forged individually from 1/2" x 1/2" square stock, marked with hot cuts, and punches. They are tastefully cut, punched, and filed so no two are alike. Door handle and bolt have been upset and forged from 1/2" steel rod. Decorative nuts and bolts securing handle and bolt are handmade from rod and square stock. Exterior strike plate is constructed from 1/4" steel plate. Hinge plates are constructed from 3/16" steel plate with 1/2" pins greased for quiet and smooth movement. Gate has wire brushed finish complete with clear coat.  Subtle blue on decorative bolts and copper colors on handle. This gate is heavy weighing about 60 pounds, and functions flawlessly.
